Islamabad/Karachi: The business community has divided into factions over the government's decision to close the markets at 8 pm under the energy-saving policy.

Apart from this, the business organizations and hotel restaurant associations have rejected the proposal of the federal government to close the shops at 8 pm and announced that no one will be allowed to complete the markets at 8 pm. If they try to use it, there will be strong resistance, protest, shutter strikes, lockouts, dharnas, and marches in front of the Parliament House. The government should formulate a policy in consultation with business organizations and representatives of chambers. The decision is unworkable and unacceptable.
President Association of Traders of Vegetable Market Ghulam Qadir Mir said that the government should not make decisions to forcefully close shops; Sheikh Hafeez and Zafar Qadri said that the government should first consult with the traders' organizations and the leaders of the Chambers and then any decision should be taken by consensus.
Sharjeel Mir said the decision is like destroying the business, and the government should end all its unnecessary expenses; Shahid Shah said that the shops will not be closed now. Meanwhile, on the decision of the federal government to close the bazaars and marriage halls early at night to save energy, the businessmen and marriage hall owners of Karachi have expressed severe concerns and said that this move will affect the economic development of a big city like Karachi. Will be affected, and thousands of people are feared to be unemployed.
President of the Marriage Halls Association Rana Raees said that such a decision is not wise in a long and wide city like Karachi with a large population. Regarding the decision, business leaders Atiq Mir, Jameel Pracha, Ismail Lalpuria, Sharjeel Gopalani, and others said that night 8 in Karachi.
